der Funker: Accessorizing

Last night, I put off working on the arms. Again. Instead, I made something that he’ll be carrying: a yagi (“beam”) antenna. Coming from a background with amateur (“ham”) radio, it was already clearly pictured in my mind before I started making it. And it’s not exactly a complicated process. I just took styrene tube, wire, and a pin vise. I’ll add some details (and cut down the tube length) to it so it’s more accurate later, but here’s what we have for now:
